Due to expanding our team, we have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to support young people and work as part of a team in the delivery of appropriate training in beauty; nail care; hairdressing and make-up for young people. The successful candidate will help to support the growth of Helm’s in-house beauty salon to become a social enterprise in the future, with potential to assist in the delivery of beauty services within the local community.

Key responsibilities in the role include:

• Provide training sessions to young people in Helm’s in-house salon in a number of beauty and hairdressing activities

• Support young people to achieve SQA qualifications; soft skills; a better understanding of the world of work, particularly the beauty industry; prepare young people to progress onto work placements in the local area and then progress onto a positive destination

• Participate in regular training and CPD to maintain standards and continually improve the experience for young people

• Liaise with external agencies regarding client referral and promotion of Helm services

• Support the social enterprise co-ordinator with developing the business
