respectme, Scotland’s anti-bullying service, is funded by Scottish Government and managed by the Scottish Association for Mental Health and LGBT Youth Scotland. We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and knowledgeable Training Officer (Equalities and Inclusion) to join the respectme team at what is an exciting time for our service.

The successful candidate will be committed to helping us make Scotland a more just, equal and inclusive place for children and young people where they can grow up free from bullying. You will be focused on addressing the inequalities facing children and young in Scotland today by supporting training and education, specifically you will have the ability to apply your knowledge of how prejudice against perceived or actual differences and characteristics can manifest as bullying behaviours, such as, racism, homophobia, biphobia or transphobia, disablism, sexism and prejudice relating to religion or belief.

As our Training Officer (Equalities and Inclusion), you will have a passion for engaging and inspiring adults with the aim of building their capacity, knowledge and skills to address bullying among young people. You will be adept at working with a range of audiences including professionals and parents/carers.

We are seeking an outstanding candidate to fulfil this role. Experienced in delivering training and professional learning, you will have a successful track record in engaging individuals and supporting them to meet intended learning outcomes. You’ll be an excellent communicator and have a creative and dynamic approach to your training delivery. You will be experienced in, and appreciate the value of ensuring the expertise of communities with lived experience are meaningfully involved in the production of relevant new training content.
