Johnstone & Paisley Supported Living Initiative is registered with the Care Inspectorate to provide combined Housing Support and Care at Home to adults with a learning disability. The service currently delivers over 1000 hours of support every week to 14 individuals in their own homes. These services are delivered over three sites; Burns Drive in Johnstone, which has 6 individual self-contained flats, Brewster Avenue in Paisley where 5 people share their home, and a single tenancy in Quarriers Village providing support for one person. A small number of outreach hours are provided to two individuals who live in the local community. The service also has an office base in the centre of Paisley.

The people who use the service have a wide range of needs including Prader Willi Syndrome, Autism, complex communication needs, dysphagia, diabetes, and epilepsy and need both practical and emotional support to live a full life within their communities.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced social care practitioner to lead and develop a staff team of around 50 individuals to deliver high quality, person-centred care to meet the needs of the adults supported by the service.

Promoting people's independence and supporting people to get the most out of life by taking part in activities that matter to them were recognised as service strengths at the most recent Care Inspection. We are seeking someone who has relevant experience of leadership and a solid value base to build on these strengths and nurture the future development of the service.
