About the role

This is a superb opportunity to join a charity tackling an issue that affects 1 in 6 children in Scotland. In joining us you will be instrumental in helping us protect the next child from harm.

Over the last 5 years we have secured funding from a range of trusts and foundations who support our work. But there is more we can do if we are to tackle child sexual abuse as a preventable public health issue. As our fundraising manager, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of our fundraising strategy which will help us scale our work across Scotland.

You will steward existing funder relationships and cultivate new ones with a focus on trust and foundation fundraising. You will be responsible for diversifying our income streams through corporate funding. You will project manage reports in relation to grants and develop structures so reporting is effective and timely.

You will help take our work to protect children to the next level, developing new income streams, setting challenging but realistic annual goals and fostering a culture of collaboration and support.

If you are eager to make a positive difference in your next role then this position is for you.

About you

You will need

  • A demonstrable track record of success in fundraising within a third sector organisation
  • Evidenced experience in gaining grant funding from trusts and foundations and/or statutory bodies
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills with a strong eye for detail

You will be

  • Organised, self-motivated and able to manage a large and varied workload
  • A creative thinker who champions new ideas and approaches to fundraising
  • Committed to delivering our vision of a world free of child sexual abuse

The benefits

  • A strong sense of purpose knowing your work makes a real impact
  • Support from our UK fundraising manager and Scottish based head of external relations
  • 25 days leave plus public holidays (pro rata)
  • Up to 5 days learning and development each year
  • Nest pension
  • Company sick pay (after probationary period)
  • Benenden medical cover
  • Employee assistance programme
