We are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to help ensure that all financial processes are executed on time and to an extremely high standard.

This is a key role within the Finance and Corporate Services team and is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant. The ideal candidate will be a friendly and motivated self-starter with good communication skills and a proven track record of reliability and trustworthiness. You will assist with all the financial transactions of Cycling Scotland and its subsidiary Transport Planning and Engineering, ensure that all relevant guidelines are followed and assist the Head of Finance with preparation for financial year end and annual audit.

Clyde Cycle Park:

The Clyde Cycle Park (CCP) is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) with the aim of creating a first-class, multi-use sport and leisure facility to promote community, competition and commuter cycling. The CCP is governed by a Board comprising Trustees from partner organisations and other backgrounds with and skills relevant to CCP. Activities Worker posts (summary):

The CCP is seeking to appoint two Activities Workers (both part-time) to support the operation of the Clyde Cycle Park in meeting its strategic objectives. The key purpose of the roles is to:

• organise and deliver CCP activities and events such as cycle skills sessions, led rides, bike taster sessions, with school groups, community groups and individuals
• support the development and management of relationships/networks with stakeholders and local communities to promote CCP and its activities
• contribute to establishing and growing a permanent Community Hub at the park
• ensure the safe and secure management of the Park site and facilities
• ensure regular maintenance and security of bikes and CCP equipment
• assist with administration of CCP membership programme
• assist with CCP social media presence, communications and enquiries
• work with and support volunteers for CCP activities
• contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of CCP activities
• liaise with community groups to access the park and coordinate growing projects, nature projects and other projects for health and wellbeing.
• provide a main point of contact for visitors to the Park

Hillwood Community Trust is about to complete the development of a new Community Sports Hub that is located in the heart of Greater Pollok in Glasgow. The construction work is due to be completed in June 2024 and we are now seeking to appoint a new Development Manager to manage and develop the facility and associated activities through this exciting phase.

The Trust is currently focussing on two core functions; developing the facilities and supporting complementary activities that will improve the quality of life for those residents in the communities that access our facilities.

The purpose of the post is to lead, manage and deliver our current activities while developing a core team of volunteers to expand and grow activities to meet the objectives of the Trust and meet the needs of the local and wider area.

The post holder will be based at the Trust’s facilities in Priesthill.

EmilyTest is a small Scottish charity working to tackle gender based violence in education. We work with schools, colleges and universities, helping them to develop effective policies, procedures and practices in relation to gender based violence prevention, intervention and support.

Our aim is to ensure every young person can live, work and study free from the harms and threats of Gender Based Violence.

Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated GBV Charter Officer to join our dynamic and friendly team based in Glasgow. The GBV Charter Officer will play a key role in the delivery of the GBV Charter in universities and colleges across Scotland. Working with our Charter team, you will support roll-out and implementation of the Charter. Supporting charter universities and colleges in improving their policies, practices and procedures in relation to GBV prevention, intervention and support, helping them to meet each of the 42 minimum standards in the Charter. You will develop a customised plan for them and assist them on their journey of achieving the Charter award. Through building strong and trusting relationships with charter institutions you will provide efficient, effective and high-quality support.

The post will be subject to a 6 month trial period.

• Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and Teams.

Desirable

• Knowledge of gender based violence and trauma informed practices.
• Understanding of GBV and young people, particularly how it manifests in the College and University community.
• Previous experience working with victims/survivors of GBV.
• Previous experience working on Charters.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including objectives, activities, timelines in alignment with the Charter minimum standards.
• Provide regular updates and guidance for charter institutions, the team and the charity’s CEO. Reports should highlight achievements, challenges and suggested improvements.
• Maintain system to overview project dates/deadlines
• Progress report writing
• Plan and schedule (& where required attend) Charter surgeries, meetings, assessment meetings, and other Charter related events
• Liaise with colleges and universities and support Charter leads
• Further develop and enhance the ‘library of tools’ that supports Charter Institutions, ensuring a diverse set of resources is available to help them achieve Charter minimum standards
• Create, review and update Charter related guidance documents.
• Represent the organisation in relevant conferences and meetings.
