Our organisation recruits, trains and supports empathetic and committed volunteers. Our 2,500 volunteer Panel Members take part in children’s hearings, making decisions with and for infants, children and young people, and our network of 22 Area Support Teams provide support to Panel Members locally. We are committed to #KeepThePromise to Scotland’s infants, children and young people, and you would be joining us during an exciting period of change as we redesign the children’s hearings system with our partners and people with lived experience.
Supporting our Learning vision
You will play an integral part in enabling the organisation to deliver on its core functions of recruiting, training and supporting our volunteer community to make decisions in the best interests of children and young people.
You will thrive on working collaboratively with colleagues, external partners and key stakeholders, effectively contract managing the design and delivery of training programmes to our specialist volunteer community and our employees.
Educated to degree level or equivalent you will demonstrate that you’ve got the appetite to develop your own professional development as well as promoting our collective ambitions for change.
You will be required to travel across Scotland and work on occasion outside CHS’ normal working hours to meet the requirements of the job.
