The Bairnshoose Team is looking for support to help achieve real change for child victims and witnesses in Scotland

Children 1st are developing the first Child’s House for Healing (Barnahus) and working in partnership to develop the model of Barnahus that is right for Scotland. The Bairnshoose team comprises Children1st colleagues from across Scotland, with a particular focus in East Renfrewshire and the North Strathclyde area. This dynamic team is constantly evolving to meet the changing needs and demands of complex systems change. The Child’s House for Healing is currently be developed, with plans to open in 2022 as a place where all Police, Social Work, Health and Court services will be based under one roof. In the development phase prior to the Childs House for Healing opening in East Renfrewshire, like Bairnshoose Team colleagues, our Team executive Assistant will deliver support through a combination of home and office based working from our Children1st offices in Glasgow and East Renfrewshire. The balance of home/office working will support flexible working and will be adapted to meet the needs of the role and Bairnshoose Team when the Childs House for Healing opens.

You will initially be based in East Renfrewshire and/or Glasgow (depending on preference) and in East Renfrewshire when the Childs House for Healing is operational.

Salary, Conditions, Pension

We will offer you a competitive salary, generous annual leave entitlement (40 days inclusive of 9 public holidays), flexible working opportunities and a contributory pension scheme.


This post is 35 hours per week with a commitment to flexible working patterns.
