We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work within our Technical Team at Home Energy Scotland South East to assist households to install micro-renewable technology and advise on energy efficiency options for hard-to-treat properties. This service is at the forefront of tackling climate change, and you can play a key role in Scotland achieving its goals for decarbonising domestic homes.
Based within the Home Energy Scotland South East advice centre at Changeworks, the role is a mixture of field-based and office based so a driving license is essential. You will join a skilled team with a focus on delivering an exceptional customer journey which starts in our advice centre right through to a tailored in-home visit which will identify suitable measures and potential available funding.
You’ll have a thirst for knowledge and be a great communicator with the ability to inspire customers to take action. Whether it’s a home visit, providing advice over the phone or delivering a webinar you’ll be able to clearly explain complex technologies in a clear and friendly way. This role may also involve engaging with householders at events in line with Scottish Government guidance.
We will provide you with a tailored training package including SQA-accredited courses in the services provided by Home Energy Scotland, City and Guilds in Energy Awareness and Domestic Energy Assessor training.

At Changeworks we remain working at home, where possible, in line with Scottish Government advice. This role is currently working from home, but we are carrying out home visits and are in attendance at events.
This role would have typically been based at our Edinburgh office however we are currently designing our new ways of working. Over the coming months we will be looking to offer increased flexibility about where we work, in a hybrid of home and office base depending on the needs of each role.
