Role

One of the UK’s most inspiring and best-known faith-based organisations is looking for a Community Mission Development Worker to join the team at our Dundee Corps (Church).

In this role you will initiate, develop and manage the day to day running of community-based programmes and support the mission objectives for the Corps (Church).

Key Responsibilities:

As Community Mission Development Worker, you will meet the needs of the local community and provide ongoing pastoral and spiritual support, and identify community needs and develop relevant programmes, whilst overseeing the day to day operation of the centre’s activities.

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

  • A commitment to Christianity and is a practising Christian with a willingness and ability to bring ministry to the community
  • A proven commitment to meeting the needs of the local community and experience of working with vulnerable people
  • Practical knowledge of Health and Safety and Safeguarding
  • Experience of managing finance and admin systems and intermediate IT skills
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to communicate and engage with all parts of the community

This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
