At CrossReach we’re a charitable organisation that puts people at the heart of everything we do. From caring for older people, children and families and the homeless to supporting those with learning disabilities, we’ve been delivering innovative social care for over 150 years. And as one of Scotland’s largest social care providers, we have 65 services and 1,800 employees across the country.
Our Children & Families Services cover early years and learning disabilities support, residential care and education as well as counselling. In this broad ranging role, you’ll have operational responsibility for our children with disabilities and early years services, with the opportunity to work strategically with the Director of Children & Families across our entire service provision. You’ll ensure the delivery and development of high-quality care for children with disabilities and their families at the Mallard, Garratt and Go2, whilst leading the development of our Daisy Chain service that provide early years and family support in Govanhill.
To apply, you’ll need experience of managing and developing children’s and young people’s services, ideally combined with a relevant degree/equivalent qualification. As well as a proven track record of strategic planning and development, you’ll be able to effectively prioritise operational work tasks, and use your initiative and creative problem-solving skills to achieve desired outcomes. Effective communication skills with the ability to persuade and influence others are also essential. This post will involve remote working with frequent travel across the West Region and some travel across Scotland.
As a member of the CrossReach team, you’ll be helping some of the most vulnerable people in our society live safer, fuller and happier lives. Our values driven culture means we are accepting, respectful and compassionate to both our service users and employees. So, join us and you’ll be part of a professional environment with a range of development opportunities and a generous benefits package. It’s a career that will enhance both your life and the lives of vulnerable people across Scotland.
