Are you an educator with specialist knowledge and interest in substance misuse treatment and recovery? This is a new opportunity to provide recovery-focused care in one of WDP’s fully-integrated flagship services.
Launched in 2018, WDP Redbridge is a fully integrated substance misuse service, providing clinical and psychosocial interventions, operating from a main treatment hub, with additional satellites within the community. The team actively promotes recovery and works with individuals that are directly and indirectly affected by substance misuse, working with the local community to improve the health, wellbeing and functioning of Redbridge residents, irrespective of circumstance.
The service works with Young People & Adults and actively promotes Recovery with individuals directly affected by substance misuse issues, those affected by someone else’s substance misuse and the local community, to improve the wider health and wellbeing of society.
Together we offer a wide range of pharmacological, psychosocial, recovery-orientated, health focused and inpatient interventions that support individuals and their families who wish to receive advice, assessment, and treatment for their drug and/ or alcohol related needs.
Funded by Public Health England for one year, this role supports WDP’s Redbridge’s commitment to building recovery in the community (BRIC) and increase the employment prospects of our service users, and primarily those who have been or are involved in the criminal justice system.
As well as holding a small focused mixed caseload, and reporting to the Recovery Team Leader within the Recovery Hub team, the role will work in partnership with colleagues, volunteers, peer mentors, service users, stakeholders and other local services and mutual aid groups.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving service making positive changes in service users’ lives, through a non-judgemental, recovery-based approach that values the strengths and choices of those individuals.
The role is predominantly based in Ilford, Redbridge at Ilford Chambers, and will work across the borough in a number of settings including colleges, community centres, Job centre plus and other education, training and employment provisions.
