We currently have an exciting and rare vacancy for a new Communications and Marketing Manager to join our team at Venture Trust. You will be responsible for shaping and leading our communications and marketing strategy and plans with support from the Communications Officer. You will manage our communications plan utilising a range of channels including social media, new website, news and blogs, email marketing and other digital media. You will be integral to our aspirations as an organisation to showcase our impact, engage with new partners and funders and to develop our public affairs and advocacy interests. The post-holder will lead on promoting Venture Trust positively to external audiences, including building relationships with sectoral and mainstream press to influence and raise awareness. You will work closely with Impact, Delivery and Funding colleagues to showcase the impact of our work and to engage with potential supporters in the work of Venture Trust. As part of this role, you will also support our delivery teams to implement a referral marketing strategy across our programmes.

The successful candidate will have experience of implementing communication and marketing strategies, demonstratable experience in delivering or overseeing media communications and excellent knowledge of developing campaigns, messaging and maintaining websites and social media channels. Additionally, the successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload, working under pressure to tight deadlines, and manage projects. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of UK online, print and broadcast media and experience of common graphic and design software packages e.g. Canva, Adobe Indesign. Staff line management or supervisory experience would be an advantage. Ideally you will have experience delivering email marketing campaigns using mailchimp or similar platform, knowledge of issues facing people struggling with severe and multiple disadvantage and the ability to produce and edit high quality videos showcasing the work of Venture Trust.
