Role

Overview

Do you want to work for a caring organisation that believes in people?

Do you want to make a difference?

We are currently looking to appoint a full-time Recovery Champion based in the West Lothian Recovery Service.

We are looking for someone who has had personal substance misuse issues and is now in recovery to support service users with their own recovery journey.

As a Recovery Champion with Change Grow Live, you’ll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be.

Responsibilities

The team supports people with their or their drug and/or alcohol issues.

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key. If you enjoy working in a fast paced dynamic environment, then we want to hear from you.

You’ll have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. But most of the time you’ll be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives.

Have you always fancied working as a Drugs and alcohol worker? this role is for you, enabling you to learn and develop on the job, supporting the team in their day to day duties and learning from experienced recovery Coordinators.

This is what one of our Recovery Champions had to say: “I like the team spirit, that we all bring something different, and we always put the people who use our service first”.
