This is an exciting time to join the Support Team at Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland as we are developing and expanding services in response to the demand from those affected by spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus.
SBH Scotland is looking for 1 Full-Time Support Workers to offer a wide range of proactive support to children, young people, adults, families and carers affected by spina bifida, hydrocephalus and related conditions.
Reporting to the Support Lead in the East, this varied role offers the opportunity to support individuals in a variety of ways including: 1-2-1 support, organising groups or activities, working on our Helpline, sourcing resources or information, assisting with financial/benefits queries or working alongside healthcare professional or external agencies.
Educated to SVQ3/4 level or equivalent level of relevant knowledge/experience, the post will be ideally suited to a person with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop constructive working relationships with a wide range of service users, carers and partner agencies.
The ideal candidate will also be proactive, resourceful and willing to contribute to the team in the interests of overall service aims.
Own car and a full driving licence is essential.
