About Youthpoint Moray

Using person-centred interventions to support young people and their families the team at Youthpoint Moray works in partnership with the referring statutory agency to assess, plan and implement appropriate strategies to meet the needs of young people.

What we are looking for....

We are looking for a Young People’s Worker who will work as part of the team to deliver the best outcomes for the young people. Through a range of group and/or individual activities you will work with the young people supporting them to develop their self-esteem and confidence, assisting them to acknowledge, accept responsibility for and where appropriate alter their behaviour. You will support the young people to develop their problem-solving skills, enabling them to resolve conflicts, develop informed choices and relate better to their peers, families and authority figures. You will have the ability to monitor and evaluate the service to modify the programme effectively, working with the Service Manager, statutory referring agencies and other organisations to deliver changes which support more positive outcomes. A key part of the role is to motivate the young people to change and to do this you will explore with the young people and with appropriate agencies, leisure time pursuits, skills, achievements and interests that can provide incentives to achieve the required positive outcomes. The work will be delivered in service users’ homes or within other community settings.
