Role

Scottish Refugee Council is looking for an Employment Project worker to support the delivery of its Employment project by meeting with individuals to complete an assessment action plan which includes identifying barriers, supporting needs and opportunities to progress towards employment.

In this role, you will be a vital member of the team working directly with people on a one-to-one and will also support the delivery of employers focused training session. You will provide support, information and guidance to help individuals to make informed choices.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is committed to support people to achieve their own goals, has experience of working with people whose first language is not English, as well as having knowledge of the employment and education process. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills combined with an ability to work in a high-pressure situation in a rapidly changing environment. In addition, you will have to be able to work on your own initiative, have excellent organisational skills and be a confident user of IT systems.

You will be working with employers, and working closely with the Employment Support Officer, other colleagues and partners to provide a holistic service.
