FRASAC are delighted to be recruiting for a highly motivated and energetic individual to deliver Prevention Workshops to groups of young people, throughout Fife. Experience of presenting in a group environment is essential. This post is based in Kirkcaldy, but will be required to work across the whole of Fife. There may also be a requirement to travel out with Fife on occasion. You will require to have the use of a car for work purposes and travel expenses will be reimbursed.

We are looking for a new Community HUB Coordinator who shares our values and will use them to guide the way they work on a daily basis. You will be accountable to our Community Services Manager.

The post-holder will play a key role in ensuring the management, development and smooth operation of Barrowfield Community Centre, MUGA and play park. Working closely with colleagues and external partners the Community Hub Coordinator will ensure that the Community Centre is a vibrant, well managed facility, with a wide range of activities, groups and events for the benefit of local people, anchor tenants and those booking community spaces

You should:

• Have experience of managing a Community Centre and ensure the effective day to day operation for the benefit of the community, anchor tenants, external organisations and other users of the building
• Ensure effective maintenance of the building, grounds and play areas- including repairs and supervising contactors and others regarding work in the building
• Have good Literacy and numeracy skills with the ability to collate and analyse information, maintain written records and write reports

We are looking for a new Older People’s Coordinator who shares our values and will use them to guide the way they work on a daily basis. You will be accountable to our Support Services Officer.

You will proactively assist in supporting, promoting, developing and delivering a wide range of Older People’s Services within the communities in which West of Scotland Housing Association operate. Assist in accessing grant funding and generated income streams, directly work with tenants and communities to develop and implement projects and liaise with partner organisations

You should:

• Have excellent interpersonal and engagement skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels

• Have the ability to write reports, collate statistics and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework

• Be able to develop and maintain effective monitoring and evaluation frameworks to meet project reporting needs within agreed timescales

• Be able to support the recruitment, training and development of staff, students and volunteers

Do you have relevant experience of working with children and young people with a disability/and or autism or relevant experience in a similar sector or work environment?

About Aberlour Options Fife - Respite and Outreach

Options Fife Respite and Outreach provides a range of flexible support through outreach and overnight short breaks at weekends, evenings and school holidays to children and young people with complex learning disabilities and autism. We offer a high-quality child centred service providing positive and enabling experiences for the young people, supporting them through the challenges and complexities that enable them to work towards their individual outcomes and personal goals. We work closely with families and other professionals in providing support tailored around the child’s plan.

What we are looking for....

We are looking to recruit two Young People’s Worker Nights, working four nights on (10 hours per night) every second week. You will play a fundamental role in ensuring that the young people you work with have the best possible experience in working towards their objectives in line with their care plan, supporting children to progress within their individual outcomes. Whilst not without its challenges and demands, this is a highly rewarding role, where the work we do has a demonstrable impact on each young person's progress. Using a person-centred approach, you will provide enabling support ensuring the highest level of physical, personal, and emotional care. We support young people who have epilepsy, need personal care and need gastrostomy feeding. Aberlour, in conjunction with NHS, provides all staff with training.

We are looking for candidates who have a passion for working with young people with disabilities. It is desired but not essential that candidates hold a relevant qualification at an SCQF level 7 or above. Due to SSSC requirements you may be required to gain qualifications after starting with Aberlour.
