Role

Beannachar Camphill Community is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to manage and develop our Day Service (work and learning) for 36 young adults with learning disabilities. Beannachar’s distinctive holistic community approach to supporting a student’s development is rooted in the belief and practice that everyone - students and staff - contributes to the meaningful work necessary to maintain our mutual interdependence, our mutual pride in achievement, and our mutual sense of belonging.

The day programme (Monday to Friday) currently offers workshops in crafts: weaving and rug making, candle making, leather work; sculpture and creative arts; cooking and homemaking skills; land work: on farm, garden and estate; refurbishing of tools (partnered with the Tools for Self-Reliance charity); independent living skills.

We are conducting an inclusive and comprehensive review of our day services which is expected to be completed in October 2021. This is a new post created to develop the service following recommendations of the review. The post holder will be the registered manager for the day service and work closely with the Residential Services registered manager.
