Role

Would you like to be part of our future? Scottish Love in Action is recruiting for a new role, a Communications Officer. Effective communication is essential to the success of the charity, engaging and inspiring our existing and new supporters.

Established 21 years ago, SLA works with carefully selected local partners to empower vulnerable children and young people in India to change their lives. We are committed to developing our work having just launched a new project across three major Indian cities. In the medium term, our sister charity, The Pipal Foundation, will be providing funds allowing us to substantially expand our reach.

The role of the Communications Officer is to keep all of our stakeholders informed and engaged about the charity and its activities and support the Fundraising Plan by creating awareness and interest in our programme of events.

A key part of the role will be to support income generation from new and regular donors through a comprehensive Communications Plan, developed in conjunction with the Business Development Manager.

We are looking for an individual with drive, enthusiasm, excellent communications skills, experience in digital marketing and a track record in a successful communications role to help us expand and achieve our potential.

You can download the job description and organogram below or email michelle@sla-india.org to request them via email.

If you would like to have an initial discussion about the role, please contact Alison Erlanger, Chairperson via email: alison@sla-india.org
