About MOWR:
MOWR is a successful social enterprise established by charity Move On in early 2018, with both environmental and social aims, delivered through growing and developing a profitable business. These are:
- to re-use waste timber, contributing to the circular economy and helping the environment through reducing the amount of timber sent to land fill or for chipping
- provide employability skills, training, valuable jobs and volunteering opportunities for vulnerable people.
MOWR collects waste timber from the construction and events industries, as well as domestic settings. We re-use as much of this timber as possible, either selling on direct to the public, or through adding value by upcycling into furniture and other products. In the process of our day to day work, we offer volunteering and training opportunities.
As a social enterprise, MOWR depends on generating income through trading to meet its costs. MOWR is a member of the UK-wide National Community Wood Recycling Project Network.
The Role
You will lead a small motivated staff team, ensuring that we grow the business, delivering excellent customer service. You will manage and motivate volunteers, and organise all the day to day activities of a busy and growing social enterprise. Working with colleagues from other Move On teams, you will manage trainees within a busy and fast-paced working environment and oversee the delivery of high quality work experience opportunities.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, entrepreneurial, has excellent communication skills and who has strong business and operational skills and experience. A proven leader, you will also have a commitment to delivering a high-quality service in line with our mission and core values

Fundraising Executive

Organised, motivated and a confident communicator, you’ll be responsible for driving income and building relationships throughout the agricultural community in Scotland to help ensure we have the funds needed to deliver our services.

1. Support the development and implementation of fundraising operations to maximise fundraising income and improve efficiency across all income streams.
2. Engage with key stakeholders to raise awareness of the charity and the services provided to support income generation.
3. Provide assistance to the wider team in terms of administration, analysis, digital, financial, events.

About the Role:

In this role, you will be required to coach, develop, and provide leadership to the Students’ Association’s staff and to take responsibility for ENSA’s management and administration within the accountability frameworks established by the Board of Directors.

Bridges Project is a leading youth work charity that helps young people aged 12-25 in East Lothian and Midlothian overcome challenges and adapt to adulthood. Tripod is a small, independent, non-profit workers’ cooperative based in Edinburgh. We build the power of social movements tackling the root causes of injustice in Scotland and beyond. As a collective of facilitators and educators, we connect people and develop skills to embody the liberated futures we’re fighting for. We seed active solidarity and strengthen strategic collaboration within and across movements.

About the Role
You will be responsible for coordinating our Consultation, Collaboration & Training (CCT) programme, which is Tripod’s income generating arm. As a non-profit, we offer training, facilitation,and other support on request to funded organisations using a sliding scale, to enable us to offer support to grassroots groups and movements with fewer financial resources. Due to high demand, one of our areas of focus for the coming years will be anti-racism training for white and mixed-race teams. As a worker-led cooperative, each member of staff also takes responsibility for Tripod’s smooth organisational functioning as we move towards our purpose together.
Co-Directorship
This role will involve an interim period of 8 months. This will be an opportunity for us to review how we have been working together and decide if you and Tripod are a good fit. This will also enable us to decide together if you should become a Full Member of the workers' cooperative which would involve being legally registered as a Director and participating fully in overall strategic and organisational decision making.
