About us

East Dunbartonshire Association for Mental Health (EDAMH) is a voluntary third sector organisation and charity that was established in 1999 to provide a community-based service for adults with mental health problems, living in East Dunbartonshire.

About this role of Service Manager

EDAMH offers a range of services that are shaped by the lived experiences of people affected by mental health. This work is to support people to manage and improve their mental health wellbeing, with strengths-based recovery focussed interventions towards living an independent life in the community. Our support follows a holistic approach with the aim to empower our service users to enjoy the best lives that they can.

The post will be based in Kirkintilloch and cover work throughout East Dunbartonshire locality. Access to your own transport and a full driving licence is essential.

We are looking to recruit a Service Manager who is enthusiastic and motivated, with relevant experience of work in a mental health environment. The Service Manager will provide positive leadership and managing teams to ensure safe and effective provision of support to those people who use the service through the promotion of outcomes focused person centred approaches.

You will have a qualification of SVQ 4 Management Level 9 in Social Services and Healthcare or SSSC approved equivalent, combined with relevant experience or a minimum of SVQ 3 Social Care Level 8 with a commitment to achieving SVQ 4 within agreed timescales.

To be successful in this post you will meet the essential criteria, core competencies behaviour and skills listed in the role profile and be able to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering outcomes for vulnerable adults; and knowledge and experience of working in the field of mental health and wellbeing.
