Raising funds is essential to ensuring that we can help keep children safe, well and loved with their families.
Children 1st is looking for two new members of our Supporter Experience Team.
Due to internal career progression, we have two Supporter Care Officer vacancies.
Our Supporter Care Team help us deliver gold standard stewardship. Relationships start with donors and supporters from the minute they pick up the phone or respond to an email enquiry.
Alongside providing gold standard stewardship, the team supports the fundraising department by processing payments, reconciling income, ensuring data is accurate and up to date, and fulfilling supporter requests.
We need someone who is friendly, focused, organised, and has a keen eye for detail.

This a permanent, full-time role of 35 hours per week. You will be based at our Edinburgh office at Whitehouse Loan.

Fundraising and Communications Officer

We’re looking for an enthusiastic fundraising and communications professional to join our team. If you’re proactive, creative, and able to inspire and build positive relationships we’d love to hear from you.
Scottish Cot Death Trust is Scotland’s only charity dedicated to the issue of the sudden and unexpected death of babies and young children. Our key strands of work include support for families, a diverse training programme for professionals across a range of sectors, and research into sudden infant death.
To support our work we are looking for a Fundraising and Communications Officer with a strong track record in income generation and effective communications. Ideally, we’re looking for someone with experience of community fundraising, corporate fundraising such as ‘charity of the year’ partnerships, and digital appeals. However, we’re open to applications from anyone with different experience but with the transferrable skills, energy and attitude to be an exceptional fundraising and communications colleague.
We’re open to applications on a job share basis for either of the distinct parts of the role, with the fundraising element at 21 hours/wk and the communications (including digital appeals) at 14 hours/wk. This important and exciting position plays a role in both the day to day running of the Edinburgh office and in cross organisational administration matters, assisting with the management of health and safety and working with service teams in all of Children 1st locations.
This role within the Corporate Services Team will involve:
• managing the efficient running of our current headquarters in Edinburgh as well as leading the administration support team to provide high quality administrative support across Children 1st.
• acting as the main point of contact in the administrative support team
• supporting teams across the country with property and facilities management of service bases
• working with internal teams and external contractors to ensure all legal and statutory requirements are met throughout the property portfolio.
• maintaining organisational and property files, registers and working collaboratively with all members of the Corporate Services Team to maintain high levels of confidentiality and data security
The post holder will be the key point of contact for organisational Health and Safety requirements, will manage the property database, and will maintain office supplies and records, in addition to overseeing contractors and reviewing corporate contracts.

About the role
This is a strategic executive leadership role within one of the most respected children’s charities in Scotland. Working with other high performing leaders you will be responsible for developing and shaping a new fundraising strategy and providing inspirational leadership to the fundraising team.
Excellent quality stewardship of our existing supporters will be one of the key responsibilities, alongside developing new partnerships and relationships and managing a dynamic team of fundraisers and developing new income streams.

You will have substantial experience of successful fundraising and partnership management. A brilliant leader, you will have a strong track record of motivating others to deliver excellent outcomes and impact. You will be a driver of innovation and transformation with an understanding of how to secure long term sustainable income.

Children 1st is looking for a new Individual Giving and Supporter Experience Manager to take our donor recruitment and retention strategy to the next level.
This role holds a senior position within the Supporter Experience Team and is responsible for inspiring new donors to support Children 1st, establishing new relationships with individuals, managing the operational implementation of individual giving fundraising initiatives and leading our donor acquisition activity.
The Individual Giving and Supporter Experience Manager will play a key role in evolving our fundraising acquisition strategy and will play a crucial role in further developing our cross-directorate stewardship strategy.
