An exciting opportunity has come up for a Community Fundraiser for Scotland. You will be joining a team of home-based relational fundraisers who are committed to delivering the very best fundraising and support.

Working independently as well as being a key member of a high-performing fundraising team, you will have proven experience of successful community fundraising and volunteer management. Using your insight, creativity, and innovation you will develop and deliver a programme of successful and sustainable fundraising activity/ campaigns and relationships within the region.

Your role will be to deliver high levels of stewardship to a variety of volunteers, supporters, and community events and to identify, develop, and support fundraising opportunities to maximise fundraising activity and income, whilst significantly raising regional profile to grow core income and supporter/donor involvement.

You will be responsible for the management and development of volunteer community fundraisers. You will be using your exceptional stewardship skills to guide, support and retain volunteers, supporters, and donors by demonstrating in-depth knowledge and understanding of the supporter/donor journey.

You will be attending and representing Cystic Fibrosis Trust at meetings and events when required and using existing and new networks to maximize potential fundraising activities, whilst deepening supporter/donor relationships to drive further engagement and support.

You will be working towards increasing regional visibility through effective marketing and communication of fundraising activities using a variety of media including but not limited to digital, white copy (e.g., newsletters, posters etc.), telemarketing etc., balancing cost and expected impact.

This role will be home-based, and you will be required to travel to our London head office, throughout the region and the UK to support events, meetings and attend training workshops. A full, valid UK driving licence or access to the use of a car with business insurance is a requirement of this role.

To support our work we are looking for a Fundraising and Communications Officer with a strong track record in income generation and effective communications. Ideally, we’re looking for someone with experience of community fundraising, corporate fundraising such as ‘charity of the year’ partnerships, and digital appeals. However, we’re open to applications from anyone with different experience but with the transferrable skills, energy and attitude to be an exceptional fundraising and communications colleague.

We’re open to applications on a job share basis for either of the distinct parts of the role, with the fundraising element at 21 hours/wk and the communications (including digital appeals) at 14 hours/wk. A key part of our work is providing a range of support for families and we’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Bereavement Support Manager to join our team. This is a new role and will be central to our commitment to working with and supporting families.

Our Bereavement Support Manager will oversee our bereavement services, directly support families, and further develop provision, including volunteering programmes. This is an exciting time to join Scottish Cot Death Trust and a unique opportunity to deliver and influence the development of services. The Action Group seeks a highly organised, skilled and empathic person to join it's dynamic carer advice team within its accredited Advice Services.

The post-holder will support parent carers living or caring in Edinburgh to maximise incomes and plan and access support for their caring situation, their health and wellbeing.

This post-holder will focus on helping carers through the cost of living crisis. They will take the lead in understanding the resources available to carers, helping carers maximise their income through grants and trusts and assisting them with budgeting. They will also support the team to organise and facilitate monthly carers groups.

Supports offered to carers include one-to-one advice, group support and events.

Applicants will be warm and approachable, have excellent research skills, communication skills (both verbal and written) and an eye for detail. They must:

• Demonstrate a strong ability to provide casework and person-centred support work, to help carers improve their situations.
• Be digitally confident.
• Show a good understanding of equality and diversity issues and a commitment to support people from marginalised groups.
• Show a good understanding of the impact of caring on peoples’ lives and the barriers carers can face.

Knowledge of health and social care systems or a good understanding of welfare benefits are highly desirable.
