The post holder will work in partnership with colleagues, people with dementia and their families to:

• Plan, develop and facilitate a wide range of therapeutic and social activities
• Promote activities through social media and other platforms
• Review and evaluate activities providing regular reports of outcomes

Due to Covid restrictions the post holder will deliver a combination of online groups as well as in person. Proficiency and confidence in using and supporting use of digital platforms and social media are essential for this role.

Successful candidates will have a positive approach to dementia supported by excellent communication and networking skills and an empathic, positive attitude. Having a creative flair and being a self-starter would also be an advantage as well as having experience of working with people with dementia. A willingness to develop through ongoing learning is essential.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required and a driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential to the role.

Our vibrant and busy service in North West Glasgow provides support to people concerned about their own or someone else's alcohol or drug use. We have a service base in Maryhill but much of our work is carried out in the local community. We work with people at all stages on their journey providing both one to one appointments and group work.

We are looking for a motivated, experienced and hard-working Community Engagement Coordinator to join our thriving and diverse team, ensuring recovery opportunities are available for individuals at any point in their recovery journey. You will strive to work collaboratively with partners and communities, ensuring that we are as accessible as possible and that the principles of a Recovery Oriented System of Care and true person centred practice are at the heart of all that we do. You will promote We Are With You Community Engagement Projects involving Project Volunteers, Recovery Champions, Peer Mentors and the wider community. You will recruit, train, supervise and support members of the team to ensure an excellent service is provided

About the job

You will have responsiblity for recruiting, training, managing and making the very best use of our volunteers including Recovery Champions, Students, Peer Mentors and Peer Supporters across the services you support.

To get the most from our volunteers you will understand where they can offer most value, whether that is working within our own services or supporting local partner agencies. You will represent your team's aims and objectives across our organisation, working with other specialist areas to secure funding for your work and promote your successes.

Researching, designing and delivering training to our volunteers is a really important part of this role too, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver what we ask of them.

REQUIRED SKILLS

To be able to carry out this job successfully you will:

• hold a Volunteer Management Qualification (or commitment to complete one within 18 months) or SQV Level 3 in Social Services & Healthcare or equivalent
• hold a training qualification and experience of designing and delivering training
• have experience of working in health or social care for a minimum of 2 years
• be a successful team manager, able to develop people to acheive their goals
• have experience of working in partnership with a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies
• have a knowledge and understanding of health and safety and managing high risk situations
• have an understanding of the issues facing those who misuse substances, the harm these can cause and the treatment available
• be able to work under pressure and prioritise, even when faced with conflicting demands
• be able to work effectively in a team and build successful working relationships, using the network you have built to support your work
• be able to travel to visit With You sites when required
• have good written and oral communication skills
• be comfortable using IT packages and digital media

This role requires a satisfactory enhanced DBS certificate.

Forth Valley Rape Crisis Centre (FVRCC) is based in Stirling. We offer free support to anyone over 13 who has been affected by any form of sexual violence, and we work across the whole Forth Valley area of Clackmannanshire, Falkirk, and Stirlingshire. This post will be responsible for supporting the work of the Centre by ensuring efficient and effective financial management and compliance with our financial policies and processes, and ensuring information is accurate and up to date in our financial management systems.

As our part-time (17.5 hours per week) Finance Manager, you will be a vital member of the centre’s senior management team with a focus on ensuring sound financial management of the organisation. You will produce and maintain accurate, timely financial records for Forth Valley Rape Crisis Centre (FVRCC), support and advise senior management in making effective financial control decisions and in submitting timely finance reports to funders. The role also involves supporting the Centre to develop efficient and effective financial processes, ensuring compliance with this as well as building capacity and contingency for financial administration and management within the existing staff team.

This role requires the Office Manager to be in the office at all times.

What does the role involve?

• To directly ensure the smooth running of the Glasgow office and contribute to the overall office and facilities footprint of MHF.
• Be responsible for Health and Safety and dealing with any issues, to ensure that all areas meet a high standard, visually and operationally contributing to staff wellbeing.
• Create, plan and organise social activities in the office including Christmas party, all staff get together and smaller events.
• Understanding and commitment to eco-friendly, sustainable ‘green’ practices and encouraging others as well.
