As a FareShare C1 Depot Driver and Operative for FareShare Glasgow you will collect and deliver food from and to our food partners across Glasgow and the West of Scotland, as well as deliver food from our Regional Centre based at South Street, to our charity members within Glasgow and the West.

Main responsibilities

This role sits in the FareShare Operations Team and will have responsibility for collecting surplus food both on schedules and short notice. Your timely collection and delivery will ensure that more surplus food can be distributed on to charities and community groups.

• To Load the vehicle where required and check your vehicle for roadworthiness.

• To Understand the schedule and route that has been planned and calculated for you.

• Be ready to meet our food partners and charities when you collect or deliver food and/or non-food.

• Slight flexibility with start and finish times as per need and driver regulations. Working hours will ordinarily be Monday to Friday 8am until 5pm each day weekend work may be required.

• Drive safely, responsibly and within the law, reporting any incidents that may affect the vehicles roadworthiness.

• Be courteous and demonstrate FareShare’s equality and diversity policy.

• Complete all necessary paperwork.

• Support depot team in preparing orders for collection and delivery.

Candidate Specifications

• Driver age at least 25 years

• Full clean UK driving licence with at least a 7.5 Tonne / C1 class licence entitlement

• A valid DQC (CPC card) and digital tachograph card

• Physically capable as heavy lifting will be involved

• Eligibility to work in UK

• Commitment to gain Level 2 Food Safety Qualification

• Forklift Truck Licence preferred but full training can be given to right candidate

Glasgow East End Community Carers has been providing support to unpaid carers across the East End of Glasgow for nearly 30 years. We are looking for an Adult Carer Support & Development Worker to join our small, energetic team.

Our Carers Hub supports unpaid carers who are looking after a family member, partner or friend who cannot cope alone due to illness, disability, frailty or substance/alcohol misuse or addiction.

Our service is based on building and sustaining a ‘carers community’, placing carers as equal partners and working creatively to ensure their needs and opinions shape our services. We focus on providing early intervention and ongoing support that recognises carers’ changing circumstances and evolving needs throughout their caring journey. Our services empower carers by providing information, tools and resources to improve wellbeing, facilitate positive long-term change and ensure carers are able to continue in their role, without detriment to their own health and wellbeing for as long as is appropriate.

We are looking for an emotionally intelligent worker who is a solutions-focused team player and committed to improving the lives of carers and those they care for. You must be flexible and open to providing a service that evolves with need, have excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting, non-judgemental, relationships with adults and children with a broad range of life experiences.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, understand the challenges faced by unpaid carers and be able to work with a broad range of adult carer groups including;

• Parent carers

• Parents of adults with disabilities/additional needs

• Dementia and older carers

• Autism carers

• Young adult carers

The Supported Housing Worker role requires assisting in the management of the development thus ensuring the tenants are able to enjoy an acceptable standard of living in an environment which is clean, safe and friendly. You will be responsible for overseeing the wellbeing of the tenants and for assisting them in maintaining their independence.

As Housing Care Worker your role will involve working with our tenants to ensure they receive the support and personal care identified in their care plans. You will directly support tenants in their homes by providing individual advice, practical housing support assistance and personal care.

Both roles are to ensure that we are able to offer the best service to our tenants and make it possible for our tenants to continue enjoying as much independent living as they’re able.

An opportunity has become available for an Administrator to support our Edinburgh teams. This post is being offered on a part- time (17.5 hours p/w), permanent basis. Salary will be Move On Grade 2, £19,955-22,172 pro rata (review pending) per annum.

What you’ll be doing

• Be the first point of contact to telephone callers, providing accurate information

• Accurate maintenance of HR systems including staff records, annual leave and ab-sences within Move On systems.

• Support staff recruitment processes

• Maintain financial records and enter data to Move On finance software.

• Petty cash handling to support staff.

• Maintain filing, recording and monitoring systems on all Move On services to enable quality reporting including data entry, recording statistics within databases, and provid-ing reports where required.

• Monitor and maintain supplies of stationery and other resources

• Take minutes at meetings of Move On staff, Board and committees as required.

• Uphold the values of Move On at all times.

• Adhere to Move On policies and procedures.

• Undertake any other duties or tasks, which may be reasonably considered within the remit of the post.

Requirements for this role

• At least 2 years admin experience within a variety of roles and tasks.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent organisational and administration skills

• IT skills and knowledge of Word, Powerpoint, Access & Excel

• An understanding of the issues surrounding marginalised groups in society

• Ability to work under own initiative as well as part of a team

• Experience of providing a variety of administration tasks

• Experience of maintaining administration and office systems

• Experience of working in an office environment

• Basic Book-keeping and familiarity with computerised account packages.

• Cash handling

• Self-motivated and organised with a meticulous attention to detail

• Comfortable and experienced liaising with colleagues and external individuals in various roles and levels of seniority
