Circle Mentoring Project
Improving the lives of children and families in North Edinburgh
The Mentor Co-ordinator at Circle’s Head office supports children of primary school age in the North Edinburgh area.
As part of Circle’s Haven Project, the Mentor Co-ordinator postholder will provide support to mentors and mentees.
For mentees the project provides a consistent 1:1 mentor, one afternoon per week for the entire school year. Mentees receive support with homework and can participate in a range of fun activities. The project takes into account individuals’ different needs and abilities.
For mentors we provide a high quality opportunity for volunteering, which aims to increase their confidence and skills in working with young children, while also developing their knowledge of children’s development.
Our vision is for all children to be safe, happy, healthy and nurtured within a stable family environment which supports them to achieve their potential.
Circle are a children and families charity working at the heart of communities across central Scotland. Our purpose is to improve the lives of children by strengthening families.
