Role

Would you like to join our small and dedicated team, working hard every day to ensure children and young people have access to the essentials they need?

We are a small charity, providing four core services to children and young people: a baby bank; clothing bank; hygiene bank; and school uniform bank.

We are currently recruiting for an Operations Assistant, to support the day-to-day operation of Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Care, including: processing of referrals; monitoring correspondence; stock management; and coordination of volunteers.

This is a part-time position (16 hours per week) and a 12 month fixed term contact (with potential to extend with further funding), based in our Cumbernauld office, with some home working. The salary is £23K pro rata.

The Operations Assistant would be joining a team of 5 part-time staff members, and a large team of volunteers.

Excellent organisation skills, communication skills and an ability to work well in a team are essential. With responsibility for data handling and correspondence, the successful candidate will also have general IT competences and an understanding of data protection issues.

The successful candidate will be passionate about the work of Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Care, and committed to making a difference in our community.

Due to the nature of the role, we would require flexibility around hours. We are specifically looking to extend our opening hours on a Friday afternoon, so availability at this time is essential.

The Operations Assistant will have responsibility for supervising volunteers, and will be required to undergo a disclosure check and safeguarding training.

The successful candidate would be joining a friendly team, offering flexibility and job satisfaction. We are a registered Living Wage Employer, and committed to ensuring that Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Care offers fair work, fair pay and good opportunities for training and development.
