Role

Link Education International is Scotland’s leading international education charity, working to improve education across sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. They work directly with schools, communities and governments to provide more effective teaching, improved school management, increased community engagement and better learning outcomes.

Due to the current post-holder going on maternity leave, the opportunity has now arisen for a new Finance & Administration Officer to join this innovative team. The successful candidate will be computer literate and have previous experience in a similar role. It would be desirable for the successful candidate to have prior experience in the use of QuickBooks or a similar financial software, but training will be provided.

Link is looking for a confident individual with a can-do attitude. Due to the fixed length of the contract, somebody who can step into the role would be ideal, although support will always be available. You should be able to prioritise your workload and work to agreed deadlines, so organisation is key. The post-holder will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail. You must have a commitment to upholding the highest standards in child and adult safeguarding, and be passionate about anti-racism.

The position will run on a fixed term basis until 31st March 2024, and can be either part-time or full-time, with the hours ranging from 21 per week up to 35 per week. Link will consider any amount of hours within this range, depending on what best suits the successful candidate. Link are open to an array of flexible working options which may suit the post-holder’s lifestyle. The charity also offers sick pay, a pension contribution of 7.5% and a cycle to work scheme.

This is your opportunity to be part of something genuinely meaningful, whilst also maintaining a work-life balance that truly works for you.
