Role

Govan Community Project provide a range of holistic services for people seeking asylum, refugees and vulnerable migrants in the Greater Govan area of Glasgow, including the provision of community based ESOL classes.

ESOL classes are an essential element of the support we offer and is crucial to empowering individuals to engage with other services and activities which open up opportunities to participate in community life and build new connections.

We offer a timetable of 4 ESOL classes per week, plus a conversational café session with a blended offer of both in person and online sessions and we are looking for an ESOL coordinator to support the delivery and development of our ESOL service.

Our ideal candidate will have experience of delivering or supporting ESOL or other community based adult learning activities and a commitment to offering a positive and welcoming learning experience which meets the needs of individuals from diverse backgrounds. You will have a high level of organisational skills, and the ability to communicate with individuals with limited or no English to support them with initial engagement with ESOL.
