Edinburgh University Students' Association is looking to recruit a Student Opportunities Coordinator (Peer Learning & Support) to join our Student Opportunities team.
The Role:
The Peer Learning & Support Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development and expansion of peer learning & support systems across the University of Edinburgh, enabling all students’ access to peer learning & support to enhance their student experience. This will include supporting and facilitating student-led peer to peer activity throughout the University, encouraging students to take a holistic and autonomous approach to their learning and development.
This role has a strong project management and leadership element and involves contributing to the forming of an academic community of learners (both staff and students) locally and across the University. The Student Opportunities team sits within the wider Membership, Engagement and People Development Team at the Students’ Association (which also includes The Advice Place, Student Voice and People & Development), and works collaboratively with colleagues in relation to a number of events, initiatives and activities related to student development.
The Person:
A confident and experienced trainer with excellent communication and interpersonal, organizational and IT skills. The postholder will have a proven track record of providing learning support to others.
A student focused individual with a consistently professional approach to their duties and keen attention to detail. A person with high expectations of themselves and others, with a passion for learning, who takes pride in their work and that of their team.

We are looking for an experienced manager with a positive and enthusiastic outlook. They will be experienced in supporting a diverse range of volunteers and developing them through their volunteering journey, as well as being skilled in successful transformation projects within a member/volunteer led organisation. They will have demonstrable experience in managing the delivery of co-curricular and extra-curricular student opportunities.
The ideal candidate will contribute to our strategic commitment to support and help build student communities, as well as support students’ personal and professional development. To do this, they will be responsible for achieving the Student Associations’ ambitious plans around increasing engagement and interaction with student leaders and volunteers. This will require prior experience in developing and delivering cross-departmental projects, as well as proven success in engaging with key stakeholders to inform planning and decision making.

As our CEO is moving on to pastures new, we are now looking to recruit a new Chief Executive Officer who will lead a motivated and dynamic professional staff of 14 and develop and support our three sabbaticals who, each year, are elected by the student community at Edinburgh Napier. About the Role:
Under the direction of the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer is accountable for the leadership, management, and sustainability of the Students’ Association, alongside providing support to the Elected Officers enabling them to fulfil their duties to the best of their potential.
In this role, you will be required to coach, develop, and provide leadership to the Students’ Association’s staff and to take responsibility for ENSA’s management and administration within the accountability frameworks established by the Board of Directors.
The role holder will not only be forward-looking, with a continuous focus on improvement but also have a deep understanding and appreciation for student issues and student experience.

About ENSA’s Board of Directors
The Board is collectively in charge of ENSA, for upholding its values and aligning it to the Association’s charitable aims. It has overall responsibility for ENSA’s governance: budget-setting and financial reporting, health and safety, human resources and legal compliance.
The Board is made up of 12 Directors: six External Lay Directors (including the Chair) appointed through a competitive process for their professional expertise; three Student Lay Directors who are registered students of Edinburgh Napier University and appointed through a competitive process; and three Sabbatical Officers who are elected by the student body.
In line with charity law, all ENSA’s Directors (elected and appointed) have equal status. Directors have a variety of experience and skills which offer different perspectives, and are all, jointly and severally, liable for the governance of the charity. Directors are expected to take their responsibilities seriously, attend meetings, and manage any conflicts of interests appropriately.
