The NHS Grampian Endowment Fund exists to make a difference to the health and wellbeing of people in Grampian. They
use their resources to enhance NHS provision, but not substitute it, by investing in projects which promote
better physical health, mental health and wellbeing. To keep pace with the modernisation and delivery of
healthcare, the charity is about to undergo significant change in terms of its strategy and vision.
The Endowment Fund has strict criteria to make sure that donations are only used to enhance the services that NHS
Grampian provides. Everything the Endowment Fund supports must be for the benefit of the patients. Their
patients are at the heart of everything they do.
As part of NHS Grampian Endowment Fund’s period of growth, they are looking to introduce a new Supporter Engagement
Officer to strengthen the income generation arm of the charity. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of
a charity which is determined to maximise its input to the health of the people across Grampian through
increasing grant giving which is innovative, supports preventative health interventions and is community
focused. The main focus of the role is to cultivate and develop the charity’s database, adopting a more planned
approach and pro-actively fundraise across multiple income generation streams. You will work with colleagues to
strategically identify areas of need and create targeted campaigns and strategies to raise funds.
In order to become the new Supporter Engagement Officer, The new Supporter Engagement Officer must have experience in
fundraising or possess a fundraising qualification. You should have experience-based knowledge of charities, as
well as the ability to identify opportunities with stakeholders. In order to develop a wider variety of income
streams, you will be confident and comfortable with public speaking, able to present to a variety of
stakeholders, as well as planning and organising events to win over hearts and minds.
NHS Grampian Endowment Fund is looking for a capable and pro-active people person, with strong written and verbal
communication skills that you can utilise in this customer focused role. Your time management and planning
skills should be excellent, and you should hold strong values as well as being passionate about both the NHS and
fundraising.
