This is a unique opportunity to support and develop the Kinning Park Complex (KPC). In 2018, KPC was constituted as a Scottish Charitable (SCIO) and secured funding to purchase and renovate our well-loved building. Following an extensive renovation programme in 2022, KPC is ready for a period of recovery and transition as we utilise the space in ways which will deliver a positive impact for our community.

The KPC Board is looking for a creative, collaborative, experienced person to oversee the safe running of the building as a meeting and events space.

KPC is a well-established and well-loved community space with a large hall, a number of small office and event spaces, potential hot desking spaces, a kitchen, cafe, and a community garden. The space is a vital community asset with a range of community-based projects and activities including community meals, classes, and events.

We are looking for a Building and Hires Lead to keep KPC open and operational as an events and meeting space in the short term, whilst developing a future KPC that is based on a strong and sustainable operational model. A key aim for the organisation through this transition is to understand how to effectively achieve our charitable aims and best serve the local community by acting as a facilitator to partner service providers, rather than provide services directly.

The post holder will work primarily alongside a Community and Outreach Lead and a Finance Lead, overseen by an Interim Manager and supported by caretaking cover.

We are looking for a passionate and committed individual to join Corra Foundation’s Core Grants Team.

The post holder will work as part of the Grants Team to support the delivery of the Corra’s grant-making programmes, and the contracts delivered on behalf of other funders, including the Scottish Government. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, and report to the Grant Development Manager.

The successful candidates will have strong organisational skills, excellent communication skills, experience of working collaboratively, good ability using Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, and Outlook, consistently professional and helpful, and excellent teamworking skills.

The purpose of this role is to take a strategic lead in the development and sustainability of EATS Rosyth’s community facing services, activities, volunteering and external partnerships, working closely with our board of trustees.

You will lead our small competent staff team and expanding number of 50+ volunteers to deliver a wide range of grant-funded projects and the development of income generating activities as we move into trading from our new community cafe.

You will drive our vision, embracing all that we do in the present, instilling a sense of purpose and direction for the future. You will make the organisation’s objectives clear, inspiring staff to deliver them in a way that embodies the core values of the project. Working in collaboration with senior staff, you will be responsible for the overall organisational and programme development and for preparing reports for the Board.

You will support the staff team and encourage continuous learning and development, ensuring that the team is equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to meet both present and future challenges.

Neilston Windfarm Legacy (NWL) is a small charity which distributes funds for community projects, large and small, which benefit Neilston residents and improve the village environment (neilstonlegacy.org). We look after a fund of about £1.6million pounds and distribute over £100,000 per year. Our chair is retiring this autumn and there is a further vacancy, so we need two enthusiastic and energetic new trustees to join our small Board to bring additional capacity and expertise. A background in the voluntary sector including as office bearers, or in financial management, administration, environmental planning or architecture, website management or journalism, or community arts would be relevant.

Our Board meets in Neilston about every five weeks and occasionally trustees are involved in other activities. Trustees also undertake most of the administrative, financial and PR tasks needed to run the Charity as no staff are employed. We do however retain specialist financial advisers to manage our investments, and independent legal and accountancy services are used as and when required. No fund-raising is undertaken.
