There’s never been a better time to join FDAMH! With funding secured and a new structure in place we are recruiting an experienced Senior Service Manager to provide both mental health and operational management for our adult services.

The principal purpose of this post is to manage, support and co-ordinate the day-to-day operation of the allocated service areas and provide line management to their direct reports. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team on FDAMH wide matters, ensuring that your Mental Health experience is included in key organisation decisions.

The Senior Service Manager will be a skilled, knowledgeable and experienced individual. You must have substantive previous operational management, mental health experience and excellent communication skills.

Able to demonstrate previous experience of managing and developing teams using innovative systems to achieve challenging goals, you should be positive, supportive, able to work in a collaborative way, and have excellent interpersonal relationship skills.

Context

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Property and Maintenance Worker to join our property team. This Property role provides an opportunity to be part of our well-established Supported Accommodation Project which supports homeless and care experienced young people to develop independent living skills and transition to permanent accommodation. The Property and Maintenance Worker will support our West Lothian Housing Services team with practical, hands-on activities related to housing management, Health & Safety, Risk Assessments, and property refurbishment and renovation.

About Aberlour Routes Falkirk

Routes is an evidence-based youth work programme which supports young people aged 12-26 years affected by someone else’s alcohol or drug use. Routes offers a mix of one-to-one and group support, along with a busy programme of activities and events bringing young people together. There is no time limit to their involvement, allowing trust to develop with workers and other young people, and all support is individually tailored to each young person.

The Routes model engages young people to effect change in their lives, recognising that living with chaos and trauma in your family does not need to lead to poor outcomes. With the right support, young people can take a very different path, and have a positive future.

As a Young People’s Worker, you will offer community-based support to young people through one-to-one and group support, plan and deliver a programme of activities and organise events bringing young people together.

Not afraid to test new ways of working, you will bring a fresh, caring, compassionate and collaborative approach which responds empathically to the needs of young people. You will be committed to co-developing alongside the young people and delivering a range of activities for them and with them.

You will work within a variety of locations in the Falkirk area.

Practitioners also support people in developing practical skills, maximising their income, and developing healthier coping skills, problem-solving skills, social skills, and employability skills that will assist them in creating the life they want.

This role will be within one of our women's accommodation services, supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse and other forms of gender-based violence and will require shift work.
