Role
We have an exciting vacancy for an experienced and creative stakeholder involvement and engagement professional, who will raise the voices of the families CHAS supports and ensure they are at the heart of our decision-making.
We are recruiting a Family Involvement Lead to be part of our People and Strategy, who will embed a cross organisation approach to involving children, young people and their families in everything CHAS does.
The Family Involvement Lead will be part of the strategy team and will support the creation, development and delivery of the CHAS strategic plan with the programme manager.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of involvement and participation. They will also have significant demonstrable experience of engaging a wide variety of audiences and introducing change based on feedback.
Working with managers and senior leaders across CHAS, the Family Involvement Lead will ensure children, young people and their whole families are involved in in the planning, design, delivery and improvement of all our services, and the activities that support them.
We are looking for a forward-thinking, creative individual with a strong understanding of user involvement in a charitable, health or social care setting to fill this new post in the People and Strategy team. If that sounds like you, then we’d love to hear from you.
Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS):
Each week, three children die in Scotland from an incurable condition. CHAS is dedicated to supporting every single member of these families as they face the toughest challenge of their lives. Whilst our mission of reaching all these families is a simple one, delivering that mission requires a huge amount of effort from everyone supporting our cause. As a charity with 300 staff and over 800 volunteers, we know that it is only by working together that we will achieve our goal. Staff and volunteers work together as one team. - The principles and practice of user involvement with experience in a charitable, health or social care setting An OD or L&D leadership role

- Experience of engaging with vulnerable people and diverse and hard to reach communities
- Developing strong and effective working relationships

You will collaborate with key stakeholders to explore the views and systems related to the recovery of public sector debt. You will use your research to engage with government nationally and locally to highlight the lived experiences of affected families, to seek fairer policies and commitments that help tackle child poverty.
You will help Aberlour plan and coordinate further campaigning work around the approach to public sector debt recovery.
You will have knowledge of the current Scottish political systems at a local and national level, particularly relating to social justice, anti-poverty and debt recovery policy areas. You will also have knowledge of key policy areas that impact on children and young people, such as the UNCRC and The Promise. You will have experience of writing policy briefings or papers or addressing informed and influential audiences.

CRM Process Analyst and Implementation Lead

Introduction

This is a vital and exciting role that will allow the award winning fundraising team at Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) to rethink and change how we use the CRM and the associated processes as we look ahead to the next decade of fundraising.
This multi-disciplinary role will work as part of a small team providing specialist technical expertise to manage the CRM development. You will be responsible for reviewing all existing CRM process to ensure they are appropriate for the new system as well as managing the implementation of integrations with the CRM and third party applications.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the analysis and development of existing processes to support the growth ambitions of CHAS and align with the move to an updated version of our current CRM.
- Research, propose and develop changes to policies, services and processes
- Train and support colleagues in the move to our updated CRM
- As a process improvement expert you have freedom to act to address issues identified without reference to line manager working within change control and risk management mechanisms
About you
You will have knowledge of fundraising CRMs and experience in process analysis and change. You will be an excellent project manager and communicator with a proven track record in managing system integration projects.
- Experience in implementation as a functional lead, CRM and fundraising systems or equivalent
- Demonstrable experience of process analysis, process improvement and resolving complex issues
- Highly effective team working skills, with an ability to collaborate with others and develop strong and effective working relationships across an organisation
- Excellent communicator with a friendly manner
- Meticulous approach to planning and excellent attention to detail
- Accountable for self, actions and decisions
