Role
We are seeking a full time Community Support Leader to join a well-established and committed team in the Dalneigh and surrounding areas of Inverness
This position is to manage a team delivering complex support to adults with Learning disabilities within a community setting, in a supported living capacity.

As a Community Support Leader, you will support your Operational Manager and be responsible for managing a number of teams providing support care to people with learning disability. You will ensure compliance with Care Inspectorate and other regulatory bodies, ensure best practice and coach the team to do the same. This role is key to ensuring our service meets the needs of our supports and our organisational vision.

Who are we looking for?
The successful applicant must have previous experience in the supported living industry, supporting individuals with a learning disability. Keenness to learn in a fast-paced environment, have the desire to embrace our values and vision and have fun!
- Experience in managing, supervising or team coordination in Supported living
- A strong knowledge of the Care Inspectorate and SSSC Compassionate
- Be caring and Confident Computer literate Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Articulate, and professional
- Be able to manage budgets, show initiative and be comfortable when it comes to problem solving.

We are looking for a Care Service Manager to work in our existing service in Govan, Glasgow. You must have a proven track record of supporting adults with learning disabilities and physical disabilities, to manage our service where we support 4 adults.
Person Specification
- Relevant health or social care qualification SVQ Level 4 in Care/Management or be willing to work towards achieving these qualifications. Share will fund the SVQ as you work towards this.
- Excellent written, verbal communication and IT skills including the ability to listen attentively to others.
- Ability to collaborate and work professionally with service users, families, and involved professionals/agencies to provide a service which maximises outcomes for service users.
- Experience of supervising and supporting staff and deploying staff resources efficiently to meet the needs of the service.
- Knowledge and skills to ensure the safe management and administration of medication
- Ability to assess risk with service users/staff and devise support and risk management plans.
- Relevant management experience at Service Manager level or, someone with drive and ambition who might be in a depute position seeking to advance their prospects would be an advantage, however, not essential.

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our West Lothian, Perth & Kinross services as an Area Manager.
Autism Initiatives Scotland provides a range of person centred services throughout Scotland. The charity provides services to autistic people who are 16 years old and over and encompasses supported living and outreach services.
The Area Manager is responsible for the design of the support programme to the people we support and to ensure, through the management team, the delivery and maintenance of high level autism specific services. The Area Manager’s responsibilities also include financial management, service development and liaison with external agencies. To provide leadership to the group of services, the Area Manager must ensure all staff are managed and supervised effectively. The Area Manager will be required to travel to our sites across West Lothian, Perth & Kinross.
You will have excellent leadership and supervision skills, knowledge of current legislation and regulations relating to the social care sector and management of an operational budget. A Social Work / health care qualification or equivalent as noted within the Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC) guidelines for the qualifications for managers is essential for this role.
The successful candidate will be required to register with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme and the SSSC.
