We are seeking up to 4 new members for the Edinburgh and Lothians Greenspace Trust (ELGT) Board. Our Non-Executive Directors perform a vital role, overseeing the management of the Charity and acting as ambassadors for our work.

For over 30 years ELGT has been delivering inspiring, ground breaking, and imaginative programmes of environmental and community projects that benefit local people, wildlife, landscape, and heritage. Our Board is vital in supporting ELGT to realise its vision of providing quality greenspaces to people in Edinburgh and the Lothians to improve their health and wellbeing. We are seeking skilled, committed and engaged people who want to act as a catalyst for change and support ELGT through being part of our Board.

What we are looking for

  • Ability to contribute to Board insight and scrutiny, helping to shape ELGT’s vision and strategy
  • Good knowledge of the issues facing local communities and confidence you can make a valuable contribution to our work.
  • The ability to contribute professional and expert knowledge in the following areas: health benefits of greenspace and green active travel, biodiversity policy, fundraising and income generation, urban renewal and housing development.
