GAMH services support people with mental health problems to recover and lead self-determined and purposeful lives. Assistant Project Workers are required to work in our Service Centres located across the city. Assistant Project Workers will provide personalised support to adults with mental health problems on an individual and group work basis. Knowledge of the role and purpose of a social care worker is preferred for all posts. Full induction and training will be provided including on the SSSC Codes of Practice and the National Care Standards and how this framework applies to your role. A qualification at SVQ2 or equivalent is desirable, or a willingness to work towards achieving this qualification.

All applicants must be able to work flexibly; some early morning, evening and weekend working will be required.

These posts are regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. An offer of work with Glasgow Association for Mental Health will be subject to the outcome of this check being satisfactory.
