About the team

Our new Digital & Marketing Communications team has been established to transform the way that Changeworks engages with our audiences and will lead on organisational and service marketing alongside developing our digital presence. The team overall is responsible for evolving our brand, positioning the organisation as a thought leader and expert, increasing our profile and driving more people to adopt a low-carbon life. Changeworks is currently going through a major brand and digital transformation which result in a new website and a fresh, exciting new look. As our Digital Marketing & Social Media Executive you’ll play a major part in these activities.

About the role

You will ensure Changeworks engages effectively with our stakeholders, funders, customers and the general public through increased social media activity and as part of the wider digital marketing function. You will use your excellent communication skills to develop and deliver engaging content that is relevant to our diverse audiences.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and driven communicator to take the lead on the paid and organic functions of our social media channels. As Changeworks looks to expand its work and reach, this new role will support us is in building engagement and awareness of Changeworks’ role in Scotland’s environmental sector.

You will drive our digital campaigns both organically, as well as deliver our paid advertising campaigns, and work alongside the wider marketing team to create innovative content to drive increased numbers of stakeholders and customers to the Changeworks website and its different functions. You’ll also have space to focus on automation and optimising our processes to drive performance.

About you

You will have experience of working in social media, including managing paid social campaigns across a number of social platforms. You will have relevant experience of B2C social media community management on behalf of a major brand, media owner or not-for-profit organisation.

You will have experience of placing online adverts via social media, paid search (PPC) and Google Ad campaigns as well as managing Google Grants, optimising performance to ensure we reach our audiences.

You will have experience planning and writing engaging digital content including managing video content creation (directly or through an agency or video producer). You’ll also have extensive experience of developing and delivering engaging social media content and communications across different channels with creative flair.

You will have used social media management and analysis tools to drive performance improvement.

You will be an outgoing and confident individual with excellent communication and organisational skills.
