We are Scotland’s LGBT Inclusive Education charity, founded in 2015 and incorporated in 2018. We take an educational approach to tackling the prejudice, stereotypes and stigma that can lead to homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying behaviours. Our goal is to raise awareness, increase knowledge, and foster good relations through educational inputs designed to tackle the prejudice and bullying that LGBT learners and their peers can often experience. To achieve this; we work with national stakeholders and partners, deliver services for teachers and learners in schools and communities, and develop teaching and curriculum resources. Our core work focuses on the implementation of Scotland’s national approach to LGBT Inclusive Education.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Programmes & Delivery Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will liaise with the Operations Manager and report to Directors. This role will be mainly focused on the delivery of our services to both Primary and Secondary schools, including delivering sessions to pupils, and training for teachers and leadership teams in Scotland’s schools longer term. Additionally, this role will have an involvement in resource and project development. Our Programmes & Delivery Officer posts are key roles within the organisation, and vital in helping us achieve our goals, and as such this post will generally be working within schools on a day to day basis. For this role, only people who are passionate about diversity and inclusion, with a strong understanding of LGBT Inclusive Education and issues relevant to LGBT young people, and the wider community, should apply.
