Do you have experience of working with vulnerable children & young people? Are you passionate with the energy to provide high quality individual and group support for children who have experienced or are experiencing domestic abuse? Are you able to demonstrate a flexible, practical and positive approach to working with children and young people? Do you have an understanding and awareness of domestic abuse and a reflective, sensitive, non-judgemental approach? Can you work in a way that promotes equality and empowerment? We are recruiting a Communication Worker to support the development of media and communications of the organisation.
It is essential that you have knowledge of the violence against women sector and an understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on women primarily from the Asian, Black and Minority Ethnic Community. A qualification in media and communication is required. The nature of our work requires a commitment to the feminist analysis of domestic abuse

Women’s Support Worker (Refuge and Follow on)

Hemat Gryffe Women’s Aid provides refuge accommodation, follow-on and outreach services to women, children and young people experiencing domestic abuse, forced marriage and honour-based abuse primarily from the Asian, Black and Minority Ethnic Community.
We are recruiting a Women’s Support Worker (Refuge & Follow on) to support women in refuge and when they are leaving to live in the community.
It is essential that you have experience of working with women who have experienced gender-based abuse. A suitable qualification that meets with Scottish Social Services Council housing support registration is required. The nature of our work requires a commitment to the feminist analysis of domestic abuse and to the values of Hemat Gryffe Women’s Aid. It is essential that you are bilingual and speak English and Hindi, Punjabi, or Urdu.
Fife Women’s Aid are expanding our early intervention response and are looking to recruit a full-time support worker to join our Women’s Support Team.
Candidates should have good communication skills and a passion for supporting recovery from domestic abuse.
The successful applicants will have at least SVQ Level III or equivalent level of qualification in health and social care or other relevant subject, or a willingness to work towards a qualification.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high degree of motivation and have the ability to work on their own as well as part of a team. An ability to cover on-call is an advantage (additional payments are made for this role).
