Our Fife Harm Reduction service works with people across Fife to reduce drug and alcohol related harms. We operate from a fixed site in Leven and provide outreach across The Kingdom. We offer a range of services including access to sterile injecting equipment, safer injecting advice and information, safer drug use advice. overdose prevention, Naloxone provision, BBV testing and assertive Linkage into other services
We are looking for a Specialist Harm Reduction Worker who will work both within our fixed site in Leven and deliver outreach interventions in the Community.
The Specialist Harm Reduction Worker role is key to the delivery of an integrated service through the provision of assessment, recovery planning, appropriate referral, support, care co-ordinations and interventions. You will carry out assessments, as required and making appropriate onward referrals to specialist agencies, applying effective partnership working to deliver continuity of care.
Your organisation skills will assist you in managing an active caseload, providing structured brief harm reduction interventions and/or other psychosocial and pharmacotherapy interventions. Key to the role is the ability to assess and manage risk ensuring a safe and appropriate environment for all through active risk prevention, give advice on health and social wellbeing in both group and one to one settings.
As part of your role, you will support and train relevant local practitioners including Doctors, Nurses, Social workers and other allied professions; raising awareness, giving advice and guidance, addressing stigma, ensuring care standards are maintained and service users receive a sympathetic and integrated approach.
Your collaborative working skills will enable you to effectively co-produce, monitor and review recovery care plans, and you will record and maintain service user statistics/data/case notes. REQUIRED SKILLS
- SVQ level 3 in Social Services & Healthcare or equivalent
- Successful track record of working with substance misuse service users
- Experience of working in the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting for at least a minimum of 2 years
- Knowledge and understanding of health and safety, including assessing high-risk situations for service users
- Ability to build effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to work autonomously and make reasoned decisions without immediate managerial guidance
- Good written and oral communication skills:
- IT skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and digital media
- Knowledge and understanding of harm minimisation interventions

We are seeking an experienced support and development worker to provide emotional and practical support to people who are adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, or as adults have experienced sexual assault, rape or domestic violence.
The successful applicant will work with people on an individual basis with both practical and emotional support, within our Short-Term Trauma Support Service. You will support people with the impact of their trauma, to improve their mental health and wellbeing, and to develop coping strategies.

Tiny Changes is Scotland’s first national young people’s mental health charity. We run projects with young leaders that help young minds feel better. The charity was set up in memory of artist and Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison. Through his music and art Scott made tiny changes that had a big impact on people from all walks of life.
We believe that Scotland’s young people deserve great mental health, and we believe in their insight and innovation to make this possible. We exist to nurture the talent of young people to find solutions that work for them.
In three years, we’ve funded 69 innovative mental health ideas - from bubble therapy with refugees to peer-led crisis prevention cafe and d/Deaf youth wellbeing resources - supporting over 4,000 children and young people, with many of them leading change in their communities. Role Summary
As a freelance operations consultant at Tiny Changes, you will support the interim CEO with the management of all charity and day to day operational activities, continuing the development of the charity in line with organisational objectives and strategic direction. Working closely with our small team, you will contribute to the overall direction of charity-wide operations. Supporting the management of co-production (youth lead projects), fundraising, human resources, health and safety and equality diversity and inclusion, to ensure our processes are up to date, compliant, meet the overall needs of the organisation and reflect our values.
