We are looking to recruit a volunteer with specific skills as the charity Treasurer in advance of the retirement of our current Treasurer.
The position is a home-based one, with only occasional travel, to Inverness for initial set up, and to Stirling for an annual meeting if required.
Role description and specification is available to download below.
We will be happy to discuss any tasks where some training or assistance may be required.
What’s in it for you as a volunteer?
There is considerable research and anecdotal evidence that active listening can have a positive impact on mental health and wellbeing of individuals and communities. Being a treasurer for LWS gives you a significant opportunity to support the growth and development of an organisation that aims to deliver that benefit across Scotland. LWS is a friendly, supportive and professional team. We take our governance seriously, Volunteering provides opportunities to give something back to an organisation or community.
First step: Please email Linda Harding (Chair) outlining how your experience could help Listen Well Scotland linda@listenwellscotland.org.uk
The next step would be to arrange a video call with our Chair and Treasurer, at a mutually convenient time.
Applicants are then required to complete an application form, providing names of 2 referees.
Closing date for that initial email contact will be Wednesday 16th August
