We are looking for a new team member who will support all of our projects and core work with communications, primarily social media and designing materials, leaflets, etc. The role also takes primary responsibility for handling incoming communications from members of the public and other organisations, including our general enquiries phone line and email address. You will help refer incoming callers to the right staff member or signpost to other external sources of advice (we do not currently offer a general advice service), as well as helping our projects to achieve their goals through reaching the right audiences. This role is suitable for someone with some relevant experience with appropriate software and public-facing communications who is seeking to gain broader professional experience.
Inclusion Scotland is a rapidly expanding organisation with a strong reputation for influencing public policy, ensuring disabled people’s voices are heard in that process, and for developing disabled people as leaders and change makers in employment and civic participation. We receive funding from a variety of sources including Scottish Government, as well as operating some activities to generate our own unrestricted income for charitable purposes. We take a positive and proactive approach to staff training and development and are keen to recruit a keen learner that will help us to further improve our systems and processes.
Interviews are expected to be held in Edinburgh on Monday 29th April. If needed we can offer options for remote participation (e.g. Skype).
Inclusion Scotland welcomes applications from and values the experiences of disabled people and people who have other or multiple protected characteristics. Please let us know if you need the application pack in another format, assistance, or reasonable adjustments. We have experience of making a wide variety of adjustments, so please do not hesitate to discuss your access needs with us.
