Role

LASC Childcare Services is a successful childcare social enterprise based in the growing town of Loanhead, Midlothian. In addition to our thriving nursery and cluster of After School/Out of School Clubs, we have more recently taken on ownership and management of The Link: a multi-purpose community centre which contains a café, soft play, multi-use rooms, a recording studio and practice room, and a community garden. We are in the process of refurbishing, extending and re-invigorating The Link. The Link houses our after school, weekend and holiday childcare service for Loanhead. However, during the times when it is not used for childcare, it is open to the public for a range of classes, groups, workshops, functions and other activities.

We are very fortunate to have been awarded Lottery funding for a period of five years, to subsidize this vital core management role at The Link. The Community Links Manager will bring a social entrepreneurial vision to our centre, engaging with customers and volunteers, and helping us ensure that The Link can be a vibrant, inclusive, exciting and sustainable community hub for years into the future. If you are passionate about social enterprise and community, and can combine outstanding people skills with a head for business, then you are the person we are looking for duties and expectations please attached job spec.
