Bridges Project is an independent, local charity which works with young people in East Lothian and Midlothian to help them manage the transition from adolescence to young adulthood and life beyond school.
We have a vacancy for an experienced Employability Support Worker within our Way2Work#Cashback team to assist young people in East Lothian and MidLothian to avoid long-term poverty by supporting them to acquire the skills they need to work towards managing a mainstream outcome such as employment, further education or training. Work will be undertaken on both an individual and small group basis.
It is essential that candidates have a full, clean driving licence and constant use of a car. Membership of the PVG scheme will be an essential requirement of the post. The post is funded by the Scottish Government, Cashback for Communities programme and is available in the first instance until 31 March 2020. A contributory company pension scheme is offered with 10% employer contribution after the three month probationary period.
