We are currently recruiting for a Community Liaison Coordinator within our regional Glasgow office.
This vacancy is open to internal and external candidates.
The scope of this role is to develop and maintain partnership arrangements with private, public and voluntary sectors and the local communities to meet the service needs and operational contract. The post holder is required to deliver training programmes as appropriate to refugee community organisations; this will include the co-ordination of information meetings, role descriptions and assisting with the recruitment and selection process in an equitable and fair manner. The post-holder will work consistently to ensure the continuous local development of the Community Liaison Service; he/she will ensure that all associated processes are accurate, professional and consistent at all times. The post holder is expected to contribute to the overall success of the Organisation in accordance with Migrant Help's aims, objectives, vision and values and by providing a seamless service to clients.
Used to working in confidence within a pressurised multi-cultural environment, having experience of recruiting, training, managing and supporting groups of people is essential. We will be looking for practical experience of community development work, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (another language would be desirable, but not essential). Strong attention to detail is vital, and proficiency in IT a must. We’ll also be looking for a well-organised approach and calmness under pressure, and the ability to learn quickly and adapt to change. You’re also flexible about working hours, happy working as part of a team and on your own initiative and able to undertake advocacy in a sensitive manner. The successful candidate will also be expected to work with stakeholders and the Home Office to establish service provisions. The post holder will be required to support the Regional Operations Manager with the planning and deployment of the team’s workloads, delegating work appropriately to the team on a daily basis.
