Motherwell and District Credit Union is a small, community-based financial cooperative which provides savings and loan products in the ML1 postcode area. We have over 2,000 members and operate from a single office located in Merry Street in Motherwell town centre. The credit union is run by a dedicated team of skilled and committed volunteers and is very popular with local residents. We aim to provide efficient, diligent and trustworthy local financial services whilst retaining a strong community-based and voluntary ethos. The credit union has recently started to provide online access to its products and services and anticipates at least moderate growth over the next three years.
Motherwell and District Credit Union is currently looking to recruit a temporary part-time Administrator / Finance Officer to support the day-to-day running of the Credit Union. The main duties include dealing with customer enquiries, updating member records, supporting credit control activities and general office administration. The post is temporary for one year with the possibility of extension. Suitable applicants will be educated to a good standard with previous experience of working in a financial services role and will be able to demonstrate strong communication and IT skills, a professional approach to dealing with customers and excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow work through. Flexibility over working hours is essential as occasional Saturday morning and evening work will be required.
