The primary purpose of this post is to provide a front facing professional, accessible and friendly welcome to everyone who comes into contact with TCA, whether by phone, e-mail or in person. The postholder will deliver a high quality clerical service to all customers, whether staff, volunteers or clients. You will assist in the input of data to a number of databases including HR.

In addition you will relay prompt and accurate communication within a confidential environment by various media. You will also assist with clerical tasks in connection with the running of training and management events.

The successful candidates will be able to evidence wide experience of inputting and interrogating databases and also analysing data for onward production in reports and other media. Accuracy in inputting data is therefore essential and this will be tested at the interview stage. The successful candidates will evidence wide ranging experience of working in a busy office environment and demonstrate the ability to co-ordinate a number of functions to ensure that both staff and customers receive a high quality professional service.

Hours of work are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Daily hours of work are 0900 to 1700 each weekday except for Tuesday when the contracted hours will be 1100 – 1900. A unpaid 1 hour lunch break will be taken within each working day.

Please note this is a full time hours post – however if a suitable full time candidate is not found then TCA may consider opening up the post on a job share basis. Please see job description and person specification for full list of criteria required for this post.
