Who Cares? Scotland are the UK Charity of the Year 2018 and our fundraising team is entering an exciting period of growth and development to help us grow our membership and influencing work and support us to achieve our vision.
We have a unique opportunity for a dedicated and skilled corporate fundraiser, with a strong track record securing income from private companies through Charity of the Year partnerships, and one-off fundraising opportunities. The key responsibilities of this role include developing, implementing and managing a programme of fundraising to secure income from companies and corporate foundations to achieve a target in excess of £120k in new income for 2019-2020. You will be responsible for managing and developing corporate relationships and supporting fundraising activities to ensure a positive and beneficial experience.
Ideally you will be qualified to HNC/HND level (SVQ level 3/4) or have equivalent relevant work experience. You will have demonstrable knowledge of corporate partnerships and experience in leading fundraising initiatives as well as writing bids, along with excellent communication skills. Knowledge of the care system in Scotland, and issues affecting young people who are looked after away from home is desirable.
More importantly however you will be committed to helping us achieve our vision, and will have strong persuasive and negotiating skills, adaptability for the non-profit sector, and resilience and motivation to overcome initial challenges to proposals.
