Role

The University of Strathclyde’s Alumni and Development team seeks to appoint a Donor Relations Officer to lead an established Donor Relations and Stewardship programme. This is an exciting opportunity to support the University’s ambitious plans for alumni engagement and philanthropic support.

The successful candidate will deliver a Donor Relations strategy, which focuses on providing an excellent donor experience for supporters of the University. The role-holder will design and implement the donor journey for a range of supporters (grant making bodies, corporate partners, individual supporters and major donors).

You will understand the importance of building strong relationships with donors and the strategies to achieve this. Working with the wider team, you will support stewardship processes, develop donor relationships and report on progress. You will also have the opportunity to work with inspiring students and leading academics as you demonstrate the impact of funding.

In this post, you will deliver a variety of activities such as donor events and University visits. You will also need to be an innovative thinker to create engaging donor content which will include digital, video and printed communications.

This is a varied role and an opportunity to play an important part in supporting Strathclyde’s bold plans for development. The successful candidate is likely to have similar experience in the Higher Education or charity sector.
